For funding in USDT, please note that clients are first required to perform an Attestation to prove that the funding wallet belongs to them for KYC purposes. Please note that the Attestation only needs to be done once per wallet.
Omada reserves the right to reject USDT funds sent to us if an Attestation is not performed beforehand.
Please follow the steps below to perform a funding Attestation using Tronscan.
Step 1: Request a USDT funding
Request a USDT funding through the customer portal by logging in and clicking on the "Fund Account" button.
Select "Crypto (USDT)" in the Payment Providers. Please refer to our article on Deposit Walkthrough for more detailed information on selecting Payment Providers.
Step 2: Identify the message text to be signed
When you request a USDT funding attempt through the customer portal, you should be brought to the following page with some details on the message text provided. Note down the text that appears in "Message to be signed".
The message should be crafted as follows: last digits of your landing account number (e.g. if your landing account is USD-000-0055555, this value will be "55555"), your initials (e.g. if your name is "John William Smith", this value will be "JWS"), and the transaction ID (e.g. 1263879). Based on the example values presented previously, the "Message to be signed" will be "5555JWS1263879" without quotes.
If you have closed the page by mistake and need to retrieve any of the values, please refer to Step 6 below.
Step 3: Go to Tronscan
Go to the website: https://tronscan.org/#/tools/verify-sign and click on "V2", then "Sign Message"
Step 4: Connect your Tron wallet
You will be prompted to connect your Tron wallet first. Please select the appropriate source / method. If you are using a hardware wallet, please connect your wallet to one of the available methods first.
Step 5: Sign the message and record tx hash
Key in the "Message to be signed" in Step 2 and click on the "Sign Message" button.
You may be prompted with a pop-up to sign the message. Please confirm.
Take note of the "Signature" value by copying it. This will be required to provide proof of ownership of the address.
Step 6 (optional): Login to the customer portal and retrieve the transaction ID or other details
If you have forgotten the transaction ID or any of the message information, you may login to the Customer Portal and retrieve the details.
Your landing account ID can be found in the "Accounts" page.
Your transaction ID can be retrieved from "Transaction History" page under "Transfers".
Step 7: Email customer service with the required details
Please send an email to customer service (support@omadaglobal.com) with the Email Subject "USDT Attestation: TRC20" and
the following details:
- Your Tron wallet address
- Your message
- Your signature hash
A screenshot will also suffice.
Please note the email must come from the same email address with which you have registered an account with us.
Disclaimer:
Do note that Omada Global provides this FAQ as guidance on signing messages to verify ownership of a blockchain address. However, the process is technical in nature and involves risks. If performed incorrectly, it can compromise the security of your wallet and potentially lead to loss of funds.
Always remember, when signing a message, you are essentially attesting that you own the said blockchain address. Be mindful not to use this attestation inappropriately or divulge it to someone who may misuse it. It is also important not to sign a message that is not understood completely as it may contain hidden terms that bind you.
We highly recommend using high-level security measures, like hardware wallets and two-factor authentication, while signing messages to ensure the safety of your digital assets. Never disclose your private keys to anyone under any circumstances. If any party requests directly for your private keys, it is likely a scam and should be avoided.
